Ingredients
1packEgg Roll Wraps These can be difficult to find in southern grocery stores but try the Asian Cuisine section or even the cold vegan section (brand would be Nasoya) for them!
1lbRizer's Mild Loose Sausage
1small onion
½cupmatchstick carrots
2celery stick finely diced
1cuppurple cabbagefinely diced
1cup cabbagefinely diced
1tbspMorton Nature's Seasoning
4 cupsvegetable oil for frying the egg rolls
1 tspolive oil
Instructions
In a pan on med/high, brown the sausage until done. When done, place on paper towel to soak up excess grease.
In the same pan, combine all the vegetables and seasonings with the 1 tsp olive oil and sauté. Place the cooked sausage back into the pan and set aside the mixture to cool.
Once cooled, take your egg roll wraps and fill with the mixture. Wrap egg rolls tightly (there are usually good instructions included with them!).Pour the vegetable oil in a frying pan and heat to med/high. Place the filled egg rolls into the oil and fry on each side until golden brown. Once all sides are golden brown, set the egg roll on a paper towel to soak up excess grease. Let cool slightly before eating since it will be very hot. Serve with soy sauce, duck sauce, or our favorite, La Choy sweet and sour sauce! Enjoy!!
