Love Egg Rolls? Want to make them at home? We have the recipe for you! These delicious egg rolls, made with fresh veggies and Rizer's Sausage make the perfect addition to any appetizer plate or as a meal in and of themselves!
Ingredients
- 1 pack Egg Roll Wraps These can be difficult to find in southern grocery stores but try the Asian Cuisine section or even the cold vegan section (brand would be Nasoya) for them!
- 1 lb Rizer's Mild Loose Sausage
- 1 small onion
- ½ cup matchstick carrots
- 2 celery stick finely diced
- 1 cup purple cabbage finely diced
- 1 cup cabbage finely diced
- 1 tbsp Morton Nature's Seasoning
- 4 cups vegetable oil for frying the egg rolls
- 1 tsp olive oil
Instructions
- In a pan on med/high, brown the sausage until done. When done, place on paper towel to soak up excess grease.
- In the same pan, combine all the vegetables and seasonings with the 1 tsp olive oil and sauté. Place the cooked sausage back into the pan and set aside the mixture to cool.
- Once cooled, take your egg roll wraps and fill with the mixture. Wrap egg rolls tightly (there are usually good instructions included with them!).Pour the vegetable oil in a frying pan and heat to med/high. Place the filled egg rolls into the oil and fry on each side until golden brown. Once all sides are golden brown, set the egg roll on a paper towel to soak up excess grease. Let cool slightly before eating since it will be very hot. Serve with soy sauce, duck sauce, or our favorite, La Choy sweet and sour sauce! Enjoy!!
